St Mellitus received a generous grant from the National Heritage Lottery Fund; the funded phase of the project – and the restoration of the organ – is now complete. Further funds will contribute to the legacy of this ‘king of instruments’, to remember the men who went to war and give the local community and wider public access to one of London’s finest organs.

There are more than 2,000 pipes in our organ; would you like to sponsor one?
The organ was built in memory of 221 local men who went to fight in the First World War; would you like to continue this legacy by sponsoring one of the pipes in memory of someone you hold dear? Or is there someone you would like to honour who has been serving the community during these difficult months? Or someone with something to celebrate: a new baby perhaps?
You can sponsor a pipe by going to our Sponsor a Pipe Virgin Giving Money fundraising page here
Once you have made your donation please email us with the name of the person you wish to dedicate your donation to and the words you would like recorded in the book (no more than 50 words please).
