St Mellitus Church received a generous grant from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and that phase of the project – including the restoration of the organ – is now complete. Further funds will contribute to the maintenance and legacy of this ‘king of instruments’ and give the local community and wider public access to one of London’s finest organs. Those funds will also help to ensure that we remember the 221 men whose First World War service the organ commemorates.

There are more than 2,000 pipes in our organ – would you like to sponsor one?
The Hunter organ at St Mellitus was built in memory of 221 local men who went to fight in the First World War. Would you like to continue this legacy by sponsoring one of the pipes in memory of someone you hold dear? Or is there someone you would like to honour who has been serving the community during these difficult months? Or someone with something to celebrate: a new baby or a marriage perhaps?
You can sponsor a pipe by printing out and completing this form and sending it with a cheque to: Sponsor-a-Pipe, St Mellitus Organ Project, St Mellitus Church, Tollington Park, London N4 3AG
Once you have made your donation please email us with the name of the person you wish to dedicate your donation to and the words you would like recorded in the book (no more than 50 words please).
