Following the success of our walking ‘podtour’ exploring the musical heritage of Stroud Green, today…
Save the date! Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September.
Last year we celebrated the centenary of the memorial organ; this year is the 150th anniversary of our fabulous, Grade II listed, neo-classical building! Designed by CG Searle, who lived in nearby Tollington Villas, its foundation stone was laid in September 1871. To mark this auspicious occasion and to give people an opportunity to see the newly restored organ and renovated church, we will be taking part in the Open House Festival 2021.
The church will be opening its doors between 12noon and 4pm on Saturday 4th September, and between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday 5th.
Over the weekend we are planning some musical performances, an opportunity to hear the organ being played and a guided historical walk led by Oonagh Gay of Islington Guided Walks.
Do check back as we will be updating this page and our social media channels with more information nearer the time. In the meantime, pencil the date in your diary!
